Lieutenant Mike Reynolds today informed MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that HBPD officers were called to Ortiz's residence at 9:53 a.m. PT local time Monday morning on a domestic violence call and arrested Ortiz at 11:45 a.m.
Reynolds said Ortiz is currently being held at the Huntington Beach Police Department and is "cooperating with the investigation."
Ortiz shares a residence with former adult film actress Jenna Jameson in the beachside town. Reynolds declined to confirm Jameson as the alleged victim but said the domestic violence call was made by the as-yet-unidentified victim's father.
